Welcome to Macomb County, Michigan USA

Commissioner Keith Rengert
Keith Rengert
and thank you for taking the time to visit my informational website.

District 15 is the largest and fastest growing district in Macomb County. District 15 encompasses over 130 square miles of Macomb County’s 482 total land area. It includes the Cities of Memphis* and Richmond*, the Village of Armada and the Townships of Armada, Macomb*, Ray and Richmond. District 15 comprises over 25% of the Macomb County land mass and has a population of over 40,000 of the total county population of 840,000.

County Commission District 15 extends from Hall Road (between Gratiot and North Avenue) north to Bordman and from Hayes and Powell Road on the west to Stoddard Road on the east.

As District 15 County Commissioner my mission is to serve residents through the facilitation of leadership, collaboration, communication and cooperation among all Macomb County municipalities. My goal as an elected official is to provide cost-effective, innovative programs; address local resident concerns and provide a strong foundation of ‘good government’ for both current and future generations of Macomb County residents.

Favorites
During these very difficult economic times “innovation” and working within the current budget at a county level is imperative.  County government must adjust to doing more with less just as families are doing across the state. Any increase of taxation by the county would only further compound the current fragile economic condition facing most every taxpayer in the county.

I was fortunate to have served several years as a township trustee/supervisor which provided me with grassroots experience in understanding the importance of a customer (taxpayer) service approach in representing my residents.

Please take some time to learn more about Commissioner Rengert, including family information, educational background and experience. Also use my resource guide to assist you with names, addresses and website information of your elected governmental officials in district 15.

And should you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Commissioner Rengert and I will be glad to call you, meet with you or email you regarding any questions and/or concerns that you my have.

Thanks again for visiting my website.

A Winning History

Commissioner Keith Rengert, a lifelong resident of District 15 was first elected to township office in 1984 and again in 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2000. During his 18 year tenure in township government he was known for his success in providing his constituents the best “bang for their buck” … for their tax dollar in the tri-county area (Detroit News). He was first elected county commissioner in 2002 and again in 2004, 2006 and 2008. He has consistently received endorsements such as “hard working, classy guy with an exceptional grasp of issues” by the two major Detroit newspapers.
